Sun-Walking Fellowship Student Workers (Special Event Staff)
The Sun-Walking Fellowship seeks current Louisville Seminary students for our MakersFest on May 30, 2026. The MakersFest is an annual communal event with presenters, vendors, and festival fun that invites all ages to engage. The Student Workers will offer behind the scenes assistance for the festival in the following roles:
- Greeter/Floater - Do what you do best: Make our guests feel welcome! Keep an eye out for kids separated from their family, any improperly discarded items, and help the other volunteers as you’re able.
- Timer/Floater - We need to put your spirit of decency and order to work! Please make sure our event workshops start and end on time. Ensure our presenters get a break, feed and hydrate, and check in during their sessions to help pass things out or collect items.
- Vendor Assistant/Floater - You make the magic happen as you serve as "runner" for our vendors. Greet them as they arrive, provide them with water, bathroom breaks, etc., and just be around in case they have questions.
- Technical Troubleshooter/Floater - You will help ‘tech’ this event to the next level! Please make sure our vendors and presenters have everything they need to be successful and feel successful at our event. You can direct any technical questions/concerns to Dr. Marcus.
- Floaters: All hands on deck! All of us will contribute some of our "can-do" attitude and pitch-in where needed. Please arrive at 9am and plan to stay until 3pm to help with any last-minute set-up, and to return our beautiful space to its original ambience.
