PT Production Assistant and Graphic Designer

Function

The part-time Production Assistant & Graphic Designer collaborates on the management of communication projects and creates a variety of multimedia assets and content focused on promoting the Seminary’s mission, vision, and values while adhering to brand standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Project Management
    1. Collaborates with the Director of Communications and Communications Coordinator to strategize project timelines.
    2. Creates and/or schedules emails for distribution to appropriate email groups.
    3. Creates and/or schedules social media posts (including live videos as informational/invitational purposes).
  2. Graphic Design Production
    1. Creates fresh and engaging assets and content for distribution in print and online, to include social media, website, and radio, based on project needs and objectives, while adhering to brand guidelines.
      1. Adapts content to match various mediums through which it is being communicated.
      2. Edits content for e-newsletters and printed publications.
      3. Proofreads/edits copy, as needed.
    2. Develops and updates content for lpts.edu, including the development of graphics/images, maintenance and updates, page development, video posting, search engine optimization (SEO), and Google Analytics reporting.
    3. Formats updates and creates documents and (online) forms, including but not limited to: the Academic Catalog, Campus Directory, IDs, Business Cards, Names Badges, Phone Lists, and other in-house projects.
    4. Completes additional projects, as assigned.
  3. Photography/Videography
    1. Assists with the pre- and post-production of photo and video content that is used to highlight and support the work of community departments, community life, student engagement, alum relations, worship, named lectures, and other projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in design, marketing, or 3 years equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Adobe Creative Suite (including mastery of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator), Google Analytics, Asana, and Constant Contact.
  • Social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) content creation and management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities — at times under strict confidence.
  • Assist in creating and contributing to a positive professional work atmosphere conducive to effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity.

Job Type

Non-exempt, part-time.

Flexible hybrid/remote working schedule available.
