Louisville Seminary Counseling Center Student Worker

Hours: 10/week

Supervisor: Clinical Director

The LSCC Student Worker assists the Director of Clinical Training with answering student therapists' questions about LSCC, providing coverage for student therapists when possible, providing assistance to the Director of Clinical Training around client questions and client files, and other duties as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Alerting student therapists through text or email when a current client calls
  • Providing coverage for student therapists when possible
  • Keeping the Director of Clinical Training abreast of HIPAA compliance issues
  • Help with tidying of LSCC space to maintain hospitality and comfort
  • Upkeep of client files and answering client questions, and other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Experience making and receiving professional phone calls
  • Experience in writing professional emails and texts
  • Experience in keeping confidentiality
  • Proficiency with a Google phone number on a personal cell phone
  • Proficiency in Office 360, particularly Outlook
  • Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to learn new software relatively quickly
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and fellow students
  • Strong boundaries around confidentiality

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science or related field. Current MFT student with minimum 2.5 GPA and no outstanding Incompletes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Minimal walking
  • Ability to hear and speak on the phone and communicate via text and email
