Intro to Preaching Research Assistant (RA) – Hybrid (Fall 2026)
Position: Research Assistant
Semester: Fall 2026
Location: Hybrid
Dates: 01 September 2026 – 11 December 2026
Stipend: $15 per hour, 5–7 hours per week
The Introduction to Preaching course seeks applicants for a Research Assistant (RA) for Fall 2026. The RA conducts research and literature reviews, writes summaries and reports of findings, cites and confirms resources, and keeps professional records. The RA supports the faculty member by researching materials related to orphans, widows, immigrants, victims of violence, and marginalized communities related to the “small voice” (as defined by the faculty member) in order to assist with a potential book project and possible speaking engagements. The RA collaborates with the faculty member in a weekly 30-minute meeting on progress of research and findings. Some of the materials could reveal matters of trauma, so it is important to practice self-care in relation to the materials
