Faithful Formation Literature and Resource Reviewer (2026–2027)

Hours/week: 10 hours a week

Job Purpose
This position consists of reviewing various literature, resources, and materials for suitability in equipping and supporting parents, caregivers, and pastors in passing on Christian faith and values in their children (0–18). They will complete usage guides related to the materials. The successful candidate will read books from the Faithful Formation Collection located in the E.M. White Library and also identify additional books to add to the collection. They will work with project director and coordinator on the continued curation of resources, websites, and materials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reviewing literature, websites, resources, and materials
- Completing guides on usage and applications
- Identifying additional books, resources, websites, and materials.
- Maintain a list of curated items, i.e. resources, websites, books.
- Collaborate with Grant Consultation Team
- Meet weekly with Project Director and Coordinator
- Maintain regularly scheduled work hours
Minimum Skill and Experience Requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills,
- Excellent reading comprehension
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to prepare concise reviews, summaries and guides
- Ability to evaluate and synthesize information from books, articles, and educational sources
Preferred Experience and Education Requirements
- Technical writing skills
- Working as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree or more
- Report writing
- Interest in faith formation, spirituality, and congregational ministry
Physical Requirements
- May require sitting for long periods of time.
- Manage distractions
- Lift and carry at least 20 lbs.
- Walking distances of 300 feet or more.
