Engagement Coordinator
Job Summary:
Supports alum and donor engagement through communications, event coordination, recognition programs, and stewardship initiatives. Develops and coordinates communications and engagement opportunities that strengthen relationships with alums and donors, including newsletters, invitations, awards, and events. Assists with the planning and execution of campus events and contributes to stewardship efforts that promote meaningful connection with Louisville Seminary.
Organizational Relationship:
- Reports to the Vice President for Advancement
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate on-campus activities to bring alums and supporters to campus for fellowship, personal enrichment, and continuing education.
- Work with the campus community to build communication and benefits offered to alums and supporters.
- Execute stewardship efforts such as the Thank-a-Thon, Impact Report, and Donor Honor Roll.
- Manage Memorial Garden sales, schedule services, and coordinate service details with family/representative.
- Ensure that the database is maintained in a manner that properly reflects accurate information on alums, donors, prospects (individual, corporate, foundation, etc.), and churches.
Qualifications & Special Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in a higher education advancement environment or other equivalent non-profit environment.
- Ability to represent the Advancement Office and Louisville Seminary professionally.
- Must be capable of working with sensitive information with complete confidentiality.
- Must be flexible with work schedule and available to work weekends and evenings as necessary.
- Computer knowledge in Excel, Word, Outlook, and database applications. Experience with Raiser's Edge database is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and set priorities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to respond with sensitivity and awareness to those with diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, values, attitudes, and languages.
- Social media and digital marketing knowledge, experience, and understanding are highly desirable.
- Knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of Louisville Seminary is highly valued, and a graduate of Louisville Seminary is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
Compensation:
- Part-time, hourly position, 18-24 hours per week.
