Chaplain/Pastor – Louisville, KY

Presbyterian Homes and Services has a full-time chaplain position open at our Louisville Campus. This chaplain would serve a population of older adults in the rehabilitation and skilled nursing units of Westminster Health & Rehab, and residents in two personal care units in Rose Anna Hughes Presbyterian Home. Both buildings are located at 2120 Buechel Bank Road in Louisville. The role of the chaplain is integrated into the life of the organization whose mission is to build community, serving older adults with compassion. The chaplain attends to the spiritual needs of the residents and their families and “tends to the soul of the institution” by building and enhancing this sense of community. While others may also tend to the spiritual needs of the residents, the chaplain offers pastoral care that is sensitive to the nuances of management of chronic illness, in dealing with the process of aging, as well as preparing for death and the celebration of life which follows death. Robley Rex VA Medical Center has received funding for hiring three additional Fee Basis Chaplains.  Fee Basis Chaplains work according to Chaplain Service need (PRN) and Fee Basis Chaplain availability.
