The Annual Fund supports the ongoing operational needs of Louisville Seminary. It provides the day-to-day expenses of classes, salaries, offices, and maintenance of campus buildings and grounds. A well-supported Annual Fund releases other funds to be used for student aid, professorships, library resources, and other immediate needs.
Louisville Seminary's operating budget is more than $9.2 million, with $1.7 million dedicated to student financial aid. The church supports the Seminary primarily through congregations and members of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Only 2% of its operating budget is funded by denominational means, making Annual Fund gifts from individuals, churches, and foundations crucial to the daily life of the Seminary. Theological seminaries are ineligible for governmental support.
The Annual Fund provides approximately 12% of Louisville Seminary's budget.
