What
is the Seminary Fund?
The Seminary Fund supports the ongoing operational needs of
Louisville Seminary. It provides the day-to-day expenses of
classes, salaries, offices and maintenance of campus buildings
and grounds. A well-supported Seminary Fund releases other funds
to be used for student aid, professorships, library resources,
and other immediate needs.

How
is Louisville Seminary Financed?
Louisville Seminary's operating budget is more than $8.6 million,
with $1.4 million dedicated to student financial aid. The
church supports the Seminary primarily through congregations
and members of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Only 2% of its
operating budget is funded by denominational means, making
Seminary Fund gifts from individuals, churches, and foundations
crucial to the daily life of the Seminary. Theological seminaries
are ineligible for governmental support.
Each
year, the Seminary Fund commits to raising approximately 12%
of Louisville Seminary's budget.

How
Will My Support Impact Louisville Seminary?
Louisville Seminary serves the church by "equipping the
saints for the work of ministry." The Seminary provides
an educational context in which students and teachers may
explore and nurture their vocational commitments while becoming
informed and competent in the diverse skills necessary for
ministry. Our employees, classrooms, offices, and campus make
this service possible by providing the practical means to
achieve our spiritual purpose.
Your
gift to the Seminary Fund helps Louisville Seminary maintain
the excellent theological education in the Reformed tradition
it has provided since 1853.
