Alumna Kerri Allen offers invocation at governor's inauguration

by Louisville Seminary | Jan 04, 2011
LPTS Alumna Kerri Allen (MDiv ’10) was invited to give the invocation at the inauguration of new Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton, January 4, 2011.

Listen to a Public Radio audio file of her prayer (Audio Link). Her prayer follows the final minute of opening remarks by former Vice President Walter Mondale.

Allen, who is from St. Paul, Minn., was a former legislative assistant for Senator Dayton prior to enrolling in Seminary. Since graduating from Louisville Seminary in May 2010, Allen was accepted into the Lilly-funded Pastoral Resident Program at Fourth Presbyterian Church of Chicago. She is the first graduate from Louisville Seminary to be among a long line of pastoral residents asked to serve in the congregational program.
