Dean K. Thompson, President of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, has announced several administrative changes in the Office for Seminary Relations.
Robert Wilson-Black, who served as Vice President for Seminary Relations since February 2008, has pursued another position.
President Thompson has appointed Dale Melton as Acting Vice President for Seminary Relations. Melton has served at Louisville Seminary since March 1997. He has held positions in Database Administration, as Interim Director of the Annual Fund & Alum Relations, and most recently as Associate Vice President for Seminary Relations, since July 2007. Over twelve years, Melton’s work has supported areas such as institutional research & effectiveness, and the strategic planning process in 2005-2006.
The Seminary Relations Department includes the work of the Higher Calling Campaign, the Seminary Fund (our annual giving program), Alum & Church Relations, database & research administration, major giving, planned giving, and other functions and responsibilities of institutional advancement and development. The Communications Department, which includes the Mail Center, Printshop, and Seminary Switchboard, has been assigned to the Office of Finance and Auxiliary Services.
