The Louisville Seminary community gathers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 11:30 a.m. each week during the academic year for public worship in Caldwell Chapel. There are no services during the January term.
A variety of types of worship are offered, including contemporary, multicultural, Taize, feminist, and gospel liturgies.
The majority of the services are planned and executed by students with the assistance of faculty and staff.
Services reflect the seminary’s diverse student body and recognize the variety of worship styles in the world.
On Friday faculty members preach and communion is celebrated.
Throughout the year there also are other services held, including the fall Edwards-Presler Lectures, the spring Festival of Theology, Alumni Reunion, and Baccalaureate Services.
