Studying the Bible through the Art of the Early Renaissance

Led by Johanna W.H. van Wijk-Bos, Dora Pierce Professor of Bible and Professor of Old Testamentand artist Juliet Ehrlich under the auspices of the Women’s Center Artist-in-Residence Program.

On this trip we will visit sites in France and Italy with a specific focus on the significance of the visual arts
for Christian piety and knowledge of the Bible during the Middle Ages in Western Europe.
