Jefferson County Public Schools announced today that schools will be open on a one hour delay, Thursday, Feb. 11. Louisville Seminary, however, will open at the usual time, without delay. Offices will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 8:30 a.m. classes will be held and will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The spring semester will begin tomorrow with the opening Convocation at 11:30 a.m. in the Frank H. and Fannie W. Caldwell Chapel, with Professor Cliff Kirkpatrick speaking. The service, which will welcome 13 students to their new degree programs, will be followed by a booksigning party for Master of Divinity degree student Rebecca Barnes-Davies for her new book, 50 Ways to Help Save the Earth: How You and Your Church Can Make a Difference. The booksigning will be held during the lunch hour in the Main Dining Hall of the Winn Center.
