Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary is seeking a Director of Recruitment and Admissions to join with other student support services administrators and the faculty in the preparation of men and women for ministry.
The Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for designing and implementing strategies for recruitment of students, facilitating the admissions process, and administering the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.
A successful candidate must have a strong commitment to theological education and the church and its ministry. He or she must have a thorough acquaintance with theological education or, preferably, a theological degree, and the person selected must have demonstrated administrative experience. A minimum of two years of admissions related experience is desirable. The person must be able to use enrollment software, Microsoft Office software, and have knowledge of enrollment forecasting and data analysis.
As a seminary of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Louisville has a strong commitment to the ecumenical church and to a racially and culturally diverse student body. The Director of Recruitment and Admissions will have the opportunity to recruit from diverse ecclesial traditions, including the Presbyterian Church, the United Methodist Church, the African Methodist Episcopal (AME), African Methodist Episcopal Zion (AMEZ), and Christian Methodist Episcopal Churches, the United Church of Christ, and the Baptist traditions, men and women who are theologically, racially, and culturally diverse to study with an outstanding faculty and participate in a welcoming learning community.
The person chosen will have excellent communications skills, both oral and written. He or she must have a clear understanding of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and its process for ministry preparation, as well as that of other denominational traditions from which our students are drawn. Preference will be given to a candidate who is an active member of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
