Cumulative Gift Societies

The commitment and long-distance dedication within these societies represent some of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary's most devoted alums and friends. These partners have been examples of generosity and dedication to the mission of Louisville Seminary through the level and faithfulness of their support.

For more than 156 years, Louisville Seminary has partnered with the Church to assist in preparing our graduates as long-distance runners in the faith and in ministry.  When Louisville Seminary graduates enter ministry, many stay there for the remainder of their vocational careers.

The investment of these dear supporters in the core mission and vision of Louisville Seminary—preparing men and women to participate in the redemptive ministry of Jesus Christ—places our students in a position to keep an eye on the future and to focus on the long run of service to Jesus Christ in the Church and to the world.  And they help provide the means for them to finish that race!

Because of this profound display of support, Louisville Seminary is able to reach higher and stretch further with boldness on this long run—finishing the race set before us all.  To you all, we are deeply grateful.

Servants: $1,000,000 + and/or annual support for 25+ consecutive years

But it is not so among you; but whoever wishes to become great among you must be your servant (Mark 10:43)

Builders: $500,000 - 999,999 and/or annual support for 20-24 consecutive years

But each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ's gift...The gifts he gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ. (Ephesians 4:7 and 11 - 13)

Ambassadors: $250,000 - 499,999 and/or annual support for 15-19 consecutive years

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. (2 Cor. 5:18-20)

Stewards: $50,000 - 249,999 and/or annual support for 10-14 consecutive years

Think of us in this way, as servants of Christ and stewards of God's mysteries (1 Cor. 4:1)

Witnesses: $10,000 - 49,999 and/or annual support for 5-9 consecutive years

You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8b)
