Director of Clinical Training (Deadline: August 31, 2007)

Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary is looking for a Clinical Director for our nationally recognized AAPC and COAMFTE approved pastoral counselor training program.  Pastoral counseling at LPTS is focused in our MAMFT program, which integrates study in marriage and family therapy, theological disciplines, and clinical practice.  The Director’s work will be primarily administrative.  Key responsibilities will include directing the clinical training center, organizing and overseeing students’ clinical experience, coordinating practica, managing the policy and administrative structure of the program, and working collegially with pastoral counseling faculty to integrate clinical practice and classroom learning.  As an institution of the Presbyterian Church (USA), we need someone who wants to work in an ecumenical and diverse community of scholars and students. Successful applicants will be committed to pastoral counseling expressed through treatment of family systems and flexible application of contemporary models of supervision and family therapy.

For this position we seek a person with a D.Min., Th.D., or Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling who is an AAPC Fellow and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, with proven experience in the administration of a training program or a counseling center. The appointment is for five years, with a renewable contact.
