Just
inside the Seminary gates a permanant outdoor labyrinth
was installed on the campus grounds. Nestled within the parklike
setting and nearly 70 feet in diameter, the labyrinth has
become a popular place for reflection and contemplation.
In 1996,
a Memorial Garden was established behind
Caldwell Chapel for the interment of ashes. This beautifully
landscaped and handicap accessible space is available to alums,
employees, and friends connected to LPTS who wish to have
their ashes buried on the campus.
Adjacent
to the Laws
Lodge Retreat and Conference Center is the Carriage
House, historically a part of the Gardencourt mansion.
This recently renovated facilty is the administrative offices
of Presbyterian Homes
and Services.
On the
Louisville Seminary campus you will also find the Furlough
Home, temporary housing for missionaries who are
on leave from overseas assignments, and the President's
Home, a residential home on Alta Vista Road that
was purchased around the time the campus was completed in
1964.
