The
center for campus activity on campus is the Albert
C. and Grace Winn Center, named in honor of Grace
W. and Albert C Winn. Dr. Winn was president of LPTS from
1966 to 1973. In the Winn Center you will find the Seminary's
bookstore,
main dining room and Louisville Catering services,
a welcoming lounge area, and smaller meeting rooms.
The Winn
Center is the site for daily meals of breakfast and lunch
and annual events such as faculty booksignings, the Global
Feast, community meals and parties, the Alum-in-Residence
gathering, and the Moderator's Dinner (of the Presbyterian
Church USA).
The building,
constructed in 1963, was renovated in 1999 with generous gifts
from LPTS alums and numerous private donations. Recognizing
the importance of the Winn Center as the campus "gathering
space," alums committed $573,445 toward the $1.8 million
total renovation cost.
